The 2004 Cote Rotie has fruit and structure akin to to the 2000 & 2001 vintages. As in all of his recent vintages the wine is oaked in its first year with new oak and only 30% at that.  

 

This is a great wine which will age gracefully it is well balanced with rustic overtones of farmyards and black berries. the finnish is long with totally balanced acidity.
